Dale Quinn is a freelance journalist in Guadalajara, Mexico. Most recently, he's written about how Mexico protects the image of tequila and measures used by international companies when transporting goods into the United States.
His main focus is on international business, real estate and drug violence. But he understands it's the people that make a story, and a city, truly captivating. Before moving to Mexico in April 2012, he covered real estate for the Arizona Daily Star in Tucson. In the wake of the housing collapse, he talked to families that faced losing their homes to foreclosure and developers who watched multi-million dollar projects crumble. He also interviewed business owners who seized upon emerging opportunities to succeed and even thrive during the Great Recession. Prior to writing about real estate, he covered consumer issues and the business side of health care. He also honed his deadline reporting skills writing about crime in Tucson. |
